Manager Embedded Linux Software Platform (m/f/d)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- As Line Manager (m/f/d) you revise & build up the Embedded Linux Base,- & Middleware Software Platform for our Central Control Unit (as part of our heating appliances platform) - enabling on-board connectivity, over-the-air-update, Gateway, HMI & System Control functionalities
- You lead a team of Software architect(s) & developers considering stakeholder needs & upcoming technology and business challenges
- As product owner you estimate the development backlog and actively interact with all stakeholders
- You operate in a cross functional system platform team together with the E/E system platform PO, the E/E architects and other ECU platform POs
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
- You have a university degree in electrical engineering or computer science and bring along profound experience in professional embedded Linux operating system development (under a reliable software development process & governance)
- You are familiar with the related Linux Software Architecture coming from bootloader over kernel space up to the user space system tools
- You already worked with OTAU solutions and IP based protocols – ideally with automotive background (you might know: XCP, Some/IP, DoIP, UDS)
- You are experienced in leading a team of Software developers and know how to coordinate an external Software supplier
- You are familiar with cyber security & wireless communication (e.g. WLAN)
- You are experienced in C / C++, Python and embedded LINUX as well as in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for these systems with e.g., Yocto and Jenkins
- You are used to agile development methods like SCRUM as well as V-Model design
- You speak fluently German and English in your daily business
- You will round off your profile with strong communication skills and team spirit combined with a high level of initiative and motivation
