Lead Architect (m/f/d) Heat Pump


  • As a Lead Architect (m/f/d) Heat Pump you will take care of the continuous specification, development and management of our heat pump architectures along the V-Model in order to achieve a coherent overall system design
  • Based upon a good understanding of customer needs you generate different architecture alternatives and design the best architecture to be realized in development projects to meet stakeholder and business demands
  • You define architectural specifications and guardrails (e.g., architectural standards, system cuts, interface specs) ensuring the interconnection and integrability for the adjacent system levels
  • In addition, you drive the implementation of platforms and modular kits to achieve synergies and reduce time to market and costs
  • You contribute to the project roadmap creation by analyzing the impact of new market requests on the system architectures within the roadmap sprint process 
  • You ensure the use of up to date and best practice methods and tools within the architecture community and enable the team in using those methods and tools


  • Through your successfully completed studies in the field of engineering you have the necessary tools of the trade
  • You have 6 years+ experience as an engineer in complex product development projects and programs and have gained experience in the design of complex architectures and function design
  • Ideally you bring along experience in the field of product management
  • Your sound knowledge of the HVAC industry, markets, technologies, systems, products, suppliers, customer needs and competition help you in your daily business
  • You possess knowledge of development specific tools and methods with a focus on model-based system engineering (preferably Matlab, FMEA, HiL, Creo, Windchill Modeler, PLM, Architecture Enterprise) as well as sound requirement engineering skills (ideally with Polarion)
  • Due to your fluent German and English on a high proficiency level and your open and trustworthy personality, you communicate confidently across all levels
  • You possess excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills
