R&D Manager Backend IoT

As an R&D Manager – Backend, you will be part of a team responsible for developing exciting features such as connectivity, energy management, and over-the-air updates for smart and sustainable heating systems.

  • You will lead a team of software architects and developers who implement, test, and maintain microservices and serverless functions in our Azure Cloud using state-of-the-art methods and tools within agile cross-functional teams.
  • You ensure the individual development of developers and architects based on current technological and business challenges.
  • You make sure that defined standards and architectural principles are followed during development. You actively shape these standards and drive technological and methodological improvements, contributing to a holistic system architecture.
  • You collaborate in a cross-functional team with Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, R&D Managers, and Developers to improve development efficiency and quality.

What makes us successful together

  • Qualification: You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science or a similar field.
  • Experience: You bring solid professional experience in developing cloud platforms with microservice architecture.
  • Know-how and skills: Your in-depth knowledge of modern development methods, CI/CD, and automated testing shines. Ideally, you are experienced with Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
  • Nice to have: Prior leadership experience in software teams and familiarity with agile frameworks like SCRUM.
  • Personality: You are proactive, communicative, and enjoy working collaboratively in diverse teams. Your high motivation inspires others.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English is essential for daily communication and team collaboration.
