Data Engineer

What we achieve together

  • You design, build and maintain infrastructure and programs for efficient extraction, transformation, loading, and serving of large data volumes from diverse sources (e.g., IoT, CRM, ERP, PLM, IIoT) using Cloud services, Spark technologies, and DataOps practices 
  • Additionally, You support the design, development, maintenance, and automation of data products on a data platform and contribute to data governance and security compliance
  • Data quality and accuracy by designing, implementing validation and cleansing processes is important to You
  • You collaborate with a team of data scientists and data engineers on advanced analytics of machine data (i.e. IoT/IIoT), business process-related data, and customer data as part of Vaillant Group’s digital service portfolio
  • Effective communication with cross-functional colleagues, propagating new ideas within the team is Your hifh skill
  • Agile methodologies are Your way of working and communicating with the team and stakeholders

What makes us successful together

  • You have a university degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, with a focus on Data Science or Data/ML Engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, particularly in a Big Data context is required
  • Good knowledge in Python and SQL on Databricks platform with additional knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Scala
  • You are a professional working with cloud services and related components, ideally within the MS Azure ecosystem and Databricks
  • Working effectively in a team, showcase a high degree of initiative and motivation to thrive in an agile and interdisciplinary environment is what makes you suitable for this role 
  • Fluency in English is needed
