Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- As we continue to increase our production of heating solutions including our heat pump products, we are seeking applicants for our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer roles.
- In this position you will use various software packages to develop and manage process control across the production process.
- You will be responsible for production IT improvement projects across the site.
- Work with NPI Project and process engineers to implement new products to existing and new production lines.
- Troubleshoot and solve production-based IT systems.
- Ensure customer satisfaction maintaining systems uptime, providing fit for purpose systems, ensuring robust systems and ease of working.
- Liaise with third party support / suppliers. When necessary.
- Assist Group production IT to Implement and maintain internationally recognised standards for systems Cyber security and the implementation of IT solutions (hardware and software.)
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
- Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering degree with a bias to software and control systems engineering is essential for this role.
- Experience of a manufacturing environment with knowledge of assembly processes is beneficial.
- A Passion for production / process engineering and continuous improvement.
- You should possess a practical approach to problem solving, be analytical with experience of robust data driven decisions.
- Experience of Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System is also necessary.
- An understanding of Labview, Visual basic, and database record / storage software systems is also desirable to have.
- Network management and troubleshooting (TCP/IP and WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi /Ethercat) •
- A flexible approach to work is required as there may be occasions when there is a need to provide out of hours support to the production team. This is on a seasonal and rotational basis with other team members.
