Tax Manager VAT & Indirect Tax (m/f/d)

  • You will manage the VAT aspects of group-wide projects and develop practical VAT solutions that comply with legal requirements and provide sustainable support for the business strategy
  • You will develop and harmonize group-wide VAT policies and foster collaboration between Business, Finance, Shared Services, IT, and Tax through clear standards and targeted training
  • You will standardize and optimize global VAT processes, reduce manual effort, minimize sources of error, and efficiently implement regulatory changes in systems and processes
  • You will identify opportunities for optimization and cash flow improvement in the area of value-added tax and support the continuous development of our business processes
  • You are responsible for the VAT logic in relevant SAP modules and drive the global harmonization of VAT-related tables, conditions, and data fields
  • You establish system-supported VAT controls, ensure consistent global VAT compliance, and strengthen the teams’ expertise through targeted training initiatives

What makes us successful together

  • Qualifications: You hold a degree in economics, law, or taxation
  • Expertise: You have several years of professional experience in the area of sales tax/taxes in an international environment, ideally within a global industrial group or consulting firm
  • Tools: You have extensive knowledge of the SAP modules Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, and Finance, as well as a deep understanding of sales tax processes in complex ERP system landscapes
  • Personality: You convince decision-makers and stakeholders at all levels through your excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to explain complex tax issues in an understandable way
  • Language Skills: You have very good English skills, ideally supplemented by additional foreign languages
