- You ensure the highest quality standards by reviewing and approving pension casework, enabling the team to consistently meet service level agreements and deliver reliable outcomes to our members.
- Your responsibilities will include managing the monthly pensioner payroll, overseeing reconciliations and ensuring that all payments are processed accurately and on time.
- By applying your technical expertise, you handle complex and unusual cases, providing clear solutions and guidance that strengthen trust in our pension services.
- You take ownership of key annual activities, such as the pension increase exercise, ensuring smooth, compliant and efficient end-to-end delivery.
- Together with internal and external partners, you contribute to projects such as scheme valuation, audit preparation and member communications, helping to continuously improve our pension offering.
- In collaboration with the wider team, trustees and service providers, you actively support governance processes and employee engagement initiatives around retirement planning.
What makes us successful together
- You bring a solid foundation in pension administration, ideally with relevant certifications or a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
- You have extensive experience in Defined Benefit pension schemes and a good understanding of Defined Contribution arrangements, ideally gained in a comparable in-house or 3rd party administration environment.
- You demonstrate strong technical expertise in pension calculations, annual scheme exercises and quality assurance, combined with excellent attention to detail and system proficiency.
- Experience with pensioner payroll, audit processes or governance activities would be a valuable addition to your profile.
- You work in a structured and solution-oriented way, communicate complex topics clearly and enjoy contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- This role can be performed remotely from home; however, occasional travel to our Head Office in Belper will be required.
