Business Development Manager

What we achieve together

  • In this role you will build relationships with new and current National developers and Large Regional Developers, heating companies, installers, and specifiers within the heating industry.
  • Establish and maintain contact at all appropriate levels with all identified client arena’s, national and regional developers, sustainability consultants, designers, architects, and M&E consultants as required. Ensuring installers sign up, receive, and attend both online training and various training courses at one of the Vaillant Group training facilities.
  • Analyse and act up data provided in BI reports, developing business plans and area strategy to gain incremental sales and growth.
  • Complete various training courses to gain knowledge and understanding of Vaillant products and industry.
  • Log all customer visits and activities on salesforce, continually updating relevant customer detail to assist the National Sales & Business Development Director to identify and secure supply chain agreements within the New Build Sector.
  • Manage yourself and assist area team to reach sales targets and deliver presentations across the range of target customers.

  • To enable you to deal with queries effectively a knowledge of all Vaillant products is required including heat pumps in this specialist market sector.
  • You will be highly motivated and able to demonstrate sales negotiation, call planning, presentational and IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as you will need to be able to communicate on a technical sales level with people from all aspects of the industry including, national and regional developers, sustainability consultants, designers, architects, and M&E consultants.
  • The role requires the ability to build successful working relationships as you will work closely with others in the sales teams. 
  • You will have good organisational and time management skills ensuring accurate recording of activities and be a confident user of Microsoft Office products.
  • A driving licence is essential, the role requires extensive travel in the sales areas of responsibility, with some overnight stays. Applications are welcome from candidates who reside in the Northeast or Northwest of England.
