In this role as  Junior Local Buyer, you will make a meaningful contribution to ensuring that our colleagues across the Vaillant Group receive the digital tools, systems and services they need to succeed. You will work in an international environment where collaboration, responsibility and purpose come together.

  • Your responsibilities will include executing end‑to‑end purchasing activities for ICT goods and services, ensuring that hardware, software, licenses and IT services are procured reliably and in line with agreed processes
  • You ensure timely order processing while safeguarding contract adherence and accurate data maintenance in our procurement systems
  • After analyzing price structures and evaluating offers, you support sourcing initiatives and contribute to supplier selection and negotiation activities together with Group ICT Procurement
  • By monitoring supplier performance and addressing issues proactively, you help ensure smooth, high‑quality service delivery for our stakeholders
  • You act as the link between Local IT, Finance, Group Procurement and suppliers, enabling transparent collaboration and ensuring demand alignment with category strategies
  • You prepare reports, maintain up‑to‑date documentation for contracts, price lists and supplier metrics, and ensure compliance with procurement policies

 

What makes us successful together

  • Qualification: You have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, information technology or a related field, and you bring first experience in procurement, administration or IT (internships or working student roles are fully sufficient)
  • Experience: You bring initial experience with purchasing or business processes, or you are motivated to develop these skills further in an international environment
  • Know‑how and skills: You confidently work with Microsoft Office applications and feel comfortable analyzing information, comparing offers and working with data. You show strong organizational skills, attention to detail and openness to learning contract basics, supplier evaluation and the Purchase‑to‑Pay process. You bring interest in ICT topics such as software, hardware, mobile devices and digital services.
  • Nice to have: First experience with Enterprise Resource Planning or e‑procurement tools (such as Ariba) is beneficial, but can also be learned on the job.
  • Personality: You demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive attitude and curiosity to understand new systems and processes. You enjoy working across functions, managing different priorities and contributing to continuous improvements with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Language skills: You have a good command of English; additional languages are beneficial but not required.
