Data Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You are part of a growing agile community creating the data backbone for the digital future of Vaillant.
• As a member of a newly build team, you support the development and operation of a data hub and corresponding data interfaces and loads.
• You are responsible for the implementation, automation, operation and further development of data hub and data platform and corresponding data products.
• You contribute to the constant extension and improvement of the data hub infrastructure and work close with the product owner and other business parts to understand their needs and requirements.
• Furthermore, you implement the data architecture and infrastructure together with the architects and integrate it in the existing setup.
• While adhering to a jointly agreed quality level, you manage and work on backlog items to achieve the agile team’s goal.
   

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

• You have a university degree in Computer Science or other quantitative fields with a focus on Data Science/ Data Mining and also have at least 3 years working experience in Data Analytics and expertise in the Big Data context
• You are familiar with relevant programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, SQL), cloud services and related components (Databricks, AKS, SQL Server, Data Factory, ideally MS Azure) and you are also curious to learn new tools
• Ability to work in a team, combined with a high degree of initiative and the motivation to work in an agile and interdisciplinary environment 
• You are fluent in English
