Data Architect

What we achieve together

  • You will shape and develop a comprehensive Collaborative Data Platform architecture spanning IoT, SAP, Salesforce, Windchill, ensuring alignment with Vaillant Group's business and IT strategy.
  • You will decide the technical architecture for data science and analytics projects and collaborate closely with BI Architects and other Vaillant Group Architects.
  • You will lead the development and continuous optimization of end-to-end architecture with a focus on the Collaborative Data Platform.
  • You will ensure platform stability by helping to implement monitoring, self-healing, and automation measures.
  • You will work alongside a talented team of DevOps engineers, data scientists, and data engineers; together, you will delve into advanced analytics of machine data, business-process data, and customer data, expanding Vaillant Group’s digital service portfolio.
  • You will participate in agile ceremonies and manage backlog items to help the team reach its goals and deliver high-quality data solutions.

 

What makes us successful together

  • Qualification: You will have completed studies in business administration, economics, computer science, engineering, physics or a comparable field, and you will demonstrate several years of experience in data architecture.
  • Experience: You will bring in-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse and Data Lake Architecture, with ideally some experience in Databricks and SAP Datasphere.
  • Know-how and skills: You will possess experience with Azure/AWS/GCP and data engineering; you will know relevant programming languages, for example Python and Spark, and you will support teams with modern development practices.
  • Nice to have: You will have experience with data governance and data quality enhancements, automation, and scalable architectures; familiarity with IoT, SAP, Salesforce, or Windchill integrations and multi-cloud environments is a plus.
  • Personality: You will be a collaborative team player with initiative, thriving in an agile, interdisciplinary environment, and you will communicate clearly with stakeholders while maintaining a strong delivery focus.
  • Language skills: You will be fluent in English (C1); German skills are a plus, and any additional languages are welcome to support our diverse teams.
