(Senior) Java Engineer

  • In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy backend APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • You will take ownership of software architecture design and implementation.
  • You will collaborate with architects to ensure alignment with company strategy.
  • In addition, you will develop and maintain high-quality documentation for backend APIs and components.
  • You will lead code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.
  • Finally, you will mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices.

 

What makes us successful together

  • Qualification: You have over 6 years of project-related experience.
  • Experience: You bring expert-level knowledge of Java programming language and experience with Spring Boot framework; advanced understanding of microservices architecture principles and experience designing complex systems; in-depth experience with deployment, maintenance, and monitoring software components on Azure Kubernetes Cluster; Expertise with Kafka, MongoDB, and GitOps concepts.
  • Know-how and skills: You conceptualize, implement, and document complex functional relationships in a software system, including design patterns and trade-offs.
  • Nice to have: You have experience with Agile methods and DevOps would be a plus.
  • Personality: You are a collaborative, empathetic, and proactive team player who fosters an inclusive environment and enjoys knowledge sharing and helping others grow.
  • Language skills: You are fluent in English; German language skills would be a plus.
