Press Engineer


  • Simulation and analysis for production layout. production capacity and production process in stamping shop
  • Works with other production engineers to optimize equipment and layouts with regards to manufacturing and production processes
  • Responsible for all equipment, incl. robotics & controls related activities in the stamping shop
  • Responsible for leading design, installation and commissioning activities for stamping forming lines and post processes as it relates to automation
  • Responsible for the industrialization of new product (define design with R&D team, define tools and process, select tool suppliers and manage them)
  • Responsible for working with production/equipment engineers to develop optimal processes for Stamping equipment
  • Support and improve press shop (kaizen, quality system…)
  • Supports equipment design RFQ’s as it relates process and production interfaces
  • Provides direction and receives feedback from suppliers regarding the industrialization of new lines.
  • Interfaces with Stamping Die Team to ensure appropriate tooling considerations are applied to equipment and process
  • Ensures that suppliers adhere to equipment standards. Check and accept equipment from vendors.
  • Prepares a detailed program plan that meets timing goals and visits suppliers on a regular basis to ensure compliance to timing dates
  • Maintains official production and ramp plans, process flow, etc
  • Provide technical expertise to various departments from time to time.
  • Work in a cross functional team to develop a robust stamping process
  • Train the supervisor, team leader, operators on press process and skill to assure defect free process, and product troubleshooting to improve yield
  • Provides direction to Engineering Techs and Engineering Interns as necessary.
  • Any other reasonable duties required by IE manager


  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years experiences in processes of stamping and/or painting.
  • Manufacturing engineering, experienced in running and maintaining a manufacturing cell in a pro-duction environment.
  • Good PC and basic English language skill, software (Pro/E, Excel and Access).
  •  Good presentation and communication skills.
