Social Media Assistant - Marketing


A vacancy has arisen in the marketing services team for a social media assistant to support the Content Manager with managing all customer interactions across digital and social media channels for Vaillant Group UK.

The position requires a motivated, independent person to provide community management across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for the Vaillant and Glow-worm brands. Good writing and spelling skills are as essential as the positive attitude it takes to speak with a variety of customer segments that communicate with Vaillant and Glow-worm via our digital channels.

Attention to detail is crucial and experience of the heating sector will give a candidate the edge.

A comprehensive training programme will be delivered, and the successful candidate will be able to work from home.

  • Responsible for working with the Content Manager and Campaigns Team to schedule campaign and corporate content for all social media channels and reviews sites.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer to support the creation of engaging corporate content for social media.
  • Take ownership of the social media community management, delivering excellent service to all customer segments (e.g. homeowners, landlords, installers).
  • Responsible for managing the live chat service on both brand websites.
  • Take ownership for the interaction for each brand on the social media installer groups.
  • Early mornings or late evenings required daily.
  • Provide technical support for installers and end users, ensuring correct tone of voice per customer segment and brand, and optimum customer service.
  • Liaise with Service to provide a seamless customer journey.
  • Work with Digital Sales Team to ensure our customers are supported with the information they need.
  • Provide ad hoc support for Digital Marketing team as required.
  • Ad hoc administration tasks for the Content Team as required.
  • Ensure all posts and interactions are created and in accordance with the tone of voice and brand guidelines for each business unit.



  • Good working knowledge of all social media channels and reviews websites.
  • Excellent written English and a friendly, customer centric attitude.
  • Creativity and vision to ensure copy and images engage and inspire our customers.
  • Attention to detail in ensuring items adhere to brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Great time management skills with ability to prioritise projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with SalesForce and social media management tools such as Social Studio.
